To determine if you have mental health coverage through your insurance carrier, the first thing you should do is call them. Check your coverage carefully and make sure you understand their answers. Some helpful questions you can ask them:
•What are my mental health benefits?
• What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
• How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?
• What is my mental health co-pay?
• What is my annual deductible?
• How much annual deductible have I already met so far this year?
• Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Please confirm with your insurance company in advance that the session will be covered. You must arrange for any pre-authorizations, if necessary. If you are using insurance and have questions about billing, please call my office staff at (425) 228-5336. They can assist you with questions you may have and facilitate the billing process. Cash, check and credit card are all accepted as forms of payment.
Cancellation Policy: If there is a need to cancel an appointment, please give me at least 24 hours notice (2 business days’ notice is preferred). Appointments missed or cancelled without this advance notice will be charged a full fee unless I am able to fill the scheduled hour. Please note that insurance companies will not pay for missed or cancelled appointments and you will be responsible for these charges.
